Okunikko Konishi Hotel, Nikko

During my stay, I enjoyed an amazing multi-course Japanese dinner that showcased very nice local produce. The sashimi trout was exceptionally fresh, and every dish was beautifully presented. Breakfast offered a fantastic variety, including traditional Japanese fare and excellent Western choices.

The onsen facilities were one of the highlights of my stay. Soaking in the opaque white waters was perfect for alleviating my sore muscles after hiking. Early morning baths were especially magical, with the snow-capped mountains providing a stunning backdrop.

The room was very spacious by Japanese standards, featuring a tatami area and comfortable western beds. I loved the little details, like the traditional yukata provided and the modern tea boiler for making fresh tea at any time.

The bathroom facilities in my room were clean and functional. While they had a rustic charm, there were plenty of toiletries available, and I appreciated the attention given to ensuring comfort, such as providing towels and hair products.
